Compared with conventional 25mm inverting tube,this new 25mm wafer tube is proximity-focused between the photocathode and MCP, thus significantly smaller in size and lighter in weight. Futhermore, the performance improves to super gen.II level.
The 25mm tubes consists of a S25+ photocathode bonded to AVG input window, a micro channel plate(MCP), and a fiber-optic phosphor screen with either straight or twister output.
