GPPS, the full name of General Purpose Polystyrene, is a thermoplastic amorphous resin that is polymerized by styrene monomer (SM). It is mainly produced in industry through bulk polymerization and suspension polymerization, and is a plastic material widely used at present.
The main characteristics of GPPS include colorless, odorless and tasteless, as well as good transparency and gloss. This plastic material is light, cheap, low water absorption, good electrical properties, easy to process, and can still maintain its mechanical properties and dimensional stability in a humid environment. In addition, GPPS also has good electrical insulation properties, high volume resistance and surface resistance, and is not affected by changes in temperature and humidity.
