History of SEG Frames
 

Silicone Edge Graphics (SEG) were formally introduced at the 2008 EuroShop-the world's largest trade fair-and quickly caught on as an ideal signage solution for convention and trade show graphics thanks to their modular design, durability, and ease of assembly.

Before SEG frames, most trade show graphics were printed direct on heavy stock paper, acrylic, Sintra PVC or Lexan backing. These options all proved functional, but the materials were relatively heavy, difficult to ship, cumbersome to install on site, and prone to damage.

Fabric graphics were in the mix as well but suffered from lower image resolution until dye sublimation printing technology and fabric quality began to improve. In addition, the frames for these older fabric graphics systems were often plain at best, or unsightly at worst.

ALUMINUM EXTRUDED FRAMES

Aluminum extrusions form the basis for the SEG frames. The frame includes a narrow groove that serves to hold the fabric graphic in place in the finished display. Extruded aluminum is relatively lightweight, durable and cost-effective compared with traditional signage hardware. It is also recyclable at the end of the frame's life cycle.
SEG frames come in many varieties and are often customized to fit a specific space or application. Some common custom frame configurations include:

• Multiple sizes from small to extra-large (without seams), and in multiple thicknesses.
• Custom shapes and angles, including 3-dimensional options.
• Free-standing, suspended, or wall mounts are common applications,
  displaying graphics on one or both sides.
• Custom decorated treatments disguise everyday materials and transform
  them into beautiful, high-end surfaces that fit with the user's brand and image. Custom fixayture decorating treatments including standard finishes such as wood, metal, stone/granite, carbon fiber, floral, and more.
• Custom hardare and accessories are available, including magnetic hangers/posts and custom feet for standing displayays.

Tall or wide lightboxes may require stabilizer bars. It is advized to use stabilizer bars for standing lightboxes and wide suspended lightboxes. Stabilizer bars and brackets are sold seperatly.






No matter the size , you will have homogeneous LED Lighting from corner to corner. The profile design guarantess that illumination will be dispersed evenly across the fabric graphic. 

The Light Box profiles come in lengths of 6100mm (20'), and can be connected together for larger applications.
